Upholstered restaurant booths

An upholstered booth is a bench, a back and a base, and each of the three is a choice. 28 are listed here, on padded bases, wood bases, wood legs or metal legs, with backs that run from plain through channeled and tufted to V-shape. Choose the back, then the cover, then the base, and confirm the length against the wall.

Back, cover and base

The back is the first choice. Styles run from plain to 3-, 6- and 12-channel, horizontal channel, V-shape and button tufted, with wood-frame booths that carry upholstered channels or panels. Prices range from $198 to $979, and 26 of the 28 are at standard seat height and three at bar height.

The cover is next. On most listings fabric or vinyl goes on the back and vinyl on the seat. On the common lists, fabric runs to 100 colors and vinyl to 40. The base follows: padded, wood, wood legs or metal legs, and some listings add reclaimed-style laminate. Every listing lets you choose the upholstery.

Fabric when it is quiet, vinyl when it is busy

Vinyl wipes down between seatings. Fabric earns its place in a room where the second hour of dinner is slow and the sound is soft. Free swatches ship by UPS Ground, usually two to three business days in transit, and a confirmation comes by email within one business day.

Height, length and the order

Most listings offer a 36-inch, a 42-inch or a 48-inch height, 42 being the standard, and lengths from 24 to 72 inches, in Single and Double and, on most, Deuce Single and Deuce Double. Many also offer a power package with outlets and USB ports.

Booths are built to order from the options listed. Measure the wall, confirm the dimensions and the upholstery, and send the order, because production cannot be amended. A line is one configuration, so a 48-inch Single and a 60-inch Single are two lines even in one cover. Booths are exempt from the minimum for tables and chairs, so you can order a single one.
