How to order

How to order restaurant furniture, one line at a time

In this guide

An order follows the order of the room: the wall and the booth first, then the tables that meet it, then the chairs and stools around them. What follows takes that path from first measurement to the pallets on your floor, and says whose move it is at each point.

Start at the wall

Measure the wall, the corner and the doorway before you open a single product page. A booth is built from the options you choose, so a measurement taken late cannot rescue a booth already in production. With the numbers in hand, look through the booths, the tables and the chairs, or work down a designer's schedule one item at a time.

Keep the piece, the section and the price together, and each decision gets easier.

Configure each line

Open a product and set every option it lists. Depending on the piece, that may be the frame finish, the stain, the upholstery, the size of a top, the edge or the height. The price follows each choice.

Count by configuration: two finishes of one chair become two separate lines. Custom work begins where the listed options end, with unlisted upholstery, a special-order stain or finish, or measurements beyond what the standard range covers. Those lines run on a longer schedule and become final the moment they are confirmed.

The price on the page is what the furniture costs as configured. Freight is separate. We price it for each delivery address once we have read your order.

Save the room to a seating plan

For anything bigger than a single table, choose Save to seating plan as you go. Each plan stores the configured pieces, how many of each, your notes and the prices as saved, and you can arrange it section by section, with the booth run, the center tables and the bar each on their own. Download a plan sheet to show a partner or a landlord, and duplicate the plan for a second location.

The plan is kept in your browser on this site, with no account, and up to 30 plans fit in one browser. Wiping cookies or changing browsers cuts you off from them. Moving a plan into the basket reprices each saved line from the current catalog, so a figure may differ from the day you saved it. Open the seating plans to begin.

Send the order

In the basket, check every line and quantity, then add the delivery details: the address, any extra service the site needs (liftgate, inside delivery, limited access or residential), and receiving hours. A purchase order number belongs in the order notes. Tax-exempt buyers and resellers put their status in the notes as well. To have the freight travel on your own carrier account, name it here.

Submit it. Nothing is charged, and the site takes no payment.

What happens when we read it

A person reads the order line by line. If a line raises a question, such as a top that may not suit its base, we write to you before confirming.

Within one business day you receive the confirmation. It restates the order, puts a freight price against each delivery address, and tells you how to pay. Read it as you would a proof: lines, finishes, quantities, dimensions. Any change after confirmation needs our agreement in writing; expect extra freight or restocking costs to follow.

Paying for it

Our invoice is issued once the review is finished and the freight is settled. Payment can go by card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), by check, by money order or by wire. A standard order is paid for before it ships. On custom work, 40% goes down first and the balance is cleared before delivery.

The minimum

Tables and chairs together must reach eight pieces, in any mix. Booths are exempt from the rule, so a room that is all booths can be ordered at any size.

From production to the dock

Pieces in standard form need 14 to 21 business days; custom ones can run to about 8 weeks. Transit follows, as an estimate. A large order may leave in more than one load. Have people ready to take the pallets off the truck inside roughly 30 minutes of its arrival, then count, inspect and note any damage before signing. The delivery page lays out the receiving steps, and returns covers changes once an order is confirmed.

Adding to a room, and asking first

Colors drift: the lists of finishes and fabrics are revised from time to time. Matching a room that is already open? Ask for a new swatch and settle the color first. Free samples ship by UPS Ground. When a question needs a voice, ask a specialist to call, or write to sales@restaurantfurniture.online and mark the subject ORDER.
