Legged restaurant booths

A legged booth lifts the seat off the floor and leaves the space beneath open, so the floor under it becomes part of the room. 7 are listed here on metal or wood legs, five at standard seat height and two at bar height. Choose the leg, then the depth, then the height.

What the legs change

A padded base closes the booth to the floor. Legs open it, which shows the floor beneath and whatever a mop can reach. Four listings stand on metal legs and three on wood. The plain-back booth on metal legs comes in black or silver, and the two with wood backs offer black, dark walnut or natural metal finishes. Wood legs come in eight finishes, from Walnut and Dark Walnut to Cherry and Black. The plain-back booths on wood and metal legs also offer a power package with outlets and USB ports.

Two of the metal-legged booths have wood backs, one slatted and one solid, and both offer a wood or a padded vinyl seat. The channel back booth seating on metal legs has a padded 12-channel back. The rest are plain.

Measure the depth

Dimensions are given on two listings. Single: 42 inches high, 23 3/4 deep. Double: 42 inches high, 43 1/2 deep. Lengths run 48, 60 or 72 inches on those two, and from 24 to 72 inches on the plain-back booths. A Double needs close to twice the floor of a Single, plus the aisle on each side, and 36 inches is the service width to keep in front of either.

Check the floor under the planned run before you choose the style, since the open base shows it.

Standard seat or bar seat

Five listings are at standard seat height and two at bar height. The bar ones belong with 42-inch tables, and the bar-height booths page gathers them with a third that has a padded base. Prices range from $318 to $739. One of the two listings at $318 is the wood booth seating.
